Hello Egg lovers, and a big shout out to the corn beef lovers.
Today we are going to have a wedding ceremony; yes we are going to marry two favourites-Corn Beef and Eggs.
Eggs omelette with Corn Beef is an easy to make recipe that calls for a few ,simple ingredients.
Here's what you'll need:
1 can Corn beef
Black pepper (to taste)
Hot sauce- if you can handle the heat.
For something flavourful but mildly hot, try Mr. Goudas Trinidad Style Hot Sauce- it's the best in the world.
You'll also need a few tablespoons of Oil.
It could be Soya oil, Canola, Vegetable Oil or Mr Goudas Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The Choice is yours!
Now that we have all or ingredients let's do some prep work.
For this recipe I will use Mr. Goudas brand of corn beef because I know that great care went in to its prepartion and packaging and its great taste and low salt content will be just right for this creation.
You can however, use any brand of corn beef in the can that you prefer.
Remove corn beef from can and cut in slices, smash with fork and set aside.
Cut onions in 1/4 inch cubes
Break 2 eggs, place in bowl to them add garlic powder and black pepper to taste.
Additionally, for a mildly hot but exceptionally flavourful taste you may add some Mr. Goudas Trinidad Style Hot sauce.
You may also want to avoid adding the salt as the corn beef has salt content.
Perhaps avoid the addition of salt all together.
Too much salt intake is bad for your health and can lead to many complication such as high lood pressure (hypertension)
Now Let's get cooking!!
In a large frying pan heat the oil.
Add onions and saute for one minute then add corn beef, stir with a spatula and allow the heat to penetrate the ingredients.
Corn beef does not need to be heated for long periods as it is already cooked.
Add eggs and cook, stiring periodically.
The cooking duration of the eggs may varie but it really should not exceed a minute.
Remove frying pan from flame and shake pan to prevent the ingredients from sticking to the pan.
That's not difficult...
Wasn't that easy?
You may serve this Omlette with a salad of your choice.
Did you know that I made a film in the 1980's of how to make corn beef hash with egg omlette.
In the film I also incoporated the music of The Yellow Rose of Texas.
The film is only thirty seconds in length because it was played on television in thirty second slots.
By the way, I forget to mention that you should only use 1/3 to 1/2 can of the corn beef.
The remaining corn beef should be removed from the can and refrigerated.
Please Note: Eggs may be used in thousands of recipes from all over the world, however, in this website, we have mentioned the ingredient eggs, in the following recipes.
